4. My goal is to become good at multiplying and dividing fractions
1.) I do not feel comfortable multiplying and dividing decimals without a calculator because I don’t remember the rules and I find it hard but I find it ok adding and subtracting decimals because I remember the rules and it isn’t as hard as multiplying and dividing decimals.
ReplyDelete2.) I do not feel comfortable adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions because I do not remember how.
3.) If a calculator was taken from me I wouldn’t mind because I like visual fractions and normal aren’t bad and not all decimals problems are hard.
4.) My goal is to have a good score on the test and to have a great understanding of decimals and fractions.
1. I am comfortable adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing decimals but I haven't done it in quite a long time so I would need more practice.
ReplyDelete2. I feel confident adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions but I would need to practice more to master the skill.
3. It wouldn't matter to me because I don't know how to work out fractions on a calculator and I am pretty confident in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing decimals.
4. My goal for this unit is to be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide decimals and fractions with total confidence.
1. I can add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals without a calculator. My strengths are adding and subtracting but I am still confident with dividing and multiplying.
ReplyDelete2. I can also add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions without a calculator. All of them are my strengths as I do not find any particularly hard
3. I prefer fractions because I am more confident with fractions
4. I want to get better at decimals. Maybe I could do a few problems every night to help me with this

ReplyDelete2. I feel confident with adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions without using a calculator.
3. I'd rather do fractions instead of decimals because I'm not confident with all the decimal moving places.
4. I would like to be good and dividing decimals.
I don’t really feel comfortable without a calculator for dividing or multiplying but I’m fine with adding or subtracting. I don’t mind adding or subtracting decimals but I don’t understand how to multiply or divide decimals.
ReplyDeleteI don’t mind adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions with or without a calculator.
I prefer to work with fractions without a calculator since I’m better at that and I don’t mess up as much as when I am doing decimals.
I want to be able to multiply and divide decimals without a calculator.
I don’t feel confident doing most things in fractions but I could touch up on some things and some things might come back to me. when I divide decimals, I’m not sure whether I have done it before so it might be completely new to me.
ReplyDeleteI’m not too confident adding and subtracting fractions without a calculator, but If I get a bit of help from it when learning, I might be better than I think.
I think I’m better at decimals than fractions, because it seems more familiar to me and I have a better history with it that I do with fractions. I can add and subtract confidently, but not so much with multiplying and dividing. I am ok with place value too.
1) I am not so comfortable adding and subtracting, multiplying and dividing decimals because I haven't worked on it a lot before.
ReplyDelete2) Yes I am 100% comfortable adding and subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions.
3)I would personally prefer to work on a calculator with decimals because with fractions im stronger with and not as much with decimals.
4) I would like to work on decimals because it me weakest thing in math too and to improve it I could pay full attention during class and take note from it.
I feel quite confident with fractions because I know most of the things we need to know like multiplying and subtracting and adding. Also I quite enjoy fractions which is also another reason I am confident with fractions.
ReplyDeleteI don’t feel so confident about decimals but I can do some of the stuff like adding subtracting.I but I sort of enjoy it because it is very useful like in money so I try to do the things in decimals which I am not as comfortable.
1. Do you feel comfortable adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing DECIMALS without a calculator? What are your strengths and weaknesses?
ReplyDeleteI have previously learnt this, but I might make a few mistakes if you asked me to complete an assignment. I am okay with adding and subtracting, and I briefly know how to multiply but I might need a reminder with division.
2. Do you feel comfortable adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing FRACTIONS without a calculator? What are your strengths and weaknesses?
I have also learnt how to add, subtract, multiply and divide but I am not very comfortable in this area. I forget how to divide, I can’t multiply and I am not very confident with adding and subtracting, but I may get a few correct if I had to do an assignment.
3. If a calculator was taken from you, which do you prefer to work with: fractions or decimals? Why?
I might prefer decimals, if it was in numbers because when writing decimals make it easier for me, but I would probably choose fractions if it wasn’t in numbers because I am more of a visual person, and I might find the pies and charts easier to understand.
4. Name one goal heading into this unit. Make it specific and measurable (meaning that you can easily be able to tell if you have accomplished the goal at the end of the unit).
I want to learn how to divide and multiply fractions and decimals without forgetting how.
I feel comfortable with adding, subtracting, multiplying, and I am ok with dividing.
ReplyDeleteI am feeling ok with our decimals unit. I can add, subtract, multiply. I am quite confident with division but I need to go over it again. I would prefer to work with fractions if I had no calculator because it is much easier for me. I would like to work on my decimals more because I feel that I am forgetting it.
Do you feel comfortable adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing decimals without a calculator? what are your strengths and weaknes’s?
ReplyDeleteWell adding and subtracting is pretty easy to me but sometime my multiplication and division need some help.
Do you feel comfortable adding, subtracting, multiplying and deviding fractions without a calculater? what are your strengths and weaknesses? Adding i find i am very good at but subtracting, multiplying and deviding i sometimes need help with.
If a calculator was taken from you, which do you prefer to work with: fractions or decimals? Why? I prefer to work with decimals because i find them much easier then fractions.
Name one goal heading into this unit. Make it specific and measurable (meaning that you can easily be able to tell if you have accomplished the goal at the end of the unit) my goal would probably be too work on my fractions and get better at them.
1. Yes but I am not comfortable with multiplying and dividing without a calculator. My strengths are adding and subtracting and my weakness are dividing decimals without a calculator.
ReplyDelete2. I feel comfortable adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing without a calculator but not mentally. My strengths are multiplying and dividing fractions and my weaknesses are doing any sort of fraction mentally.
3. I would rather work with fractions because as long as I have a piece of paper to work on fractions are easier because I still can’t do fractions mentally.
4. I wish to be able to do fraction sums in my head.
Do you feel comfortable adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing DECIMALS without a calculator? What are your strengths and weaknesses?
ReplyDeleteI do feel comfortable adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions, all strengths.
Do you feel comfortable adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing FRACTIONS without a calculator? What are your strengths and weaknesses?
I also feel comfortable doing adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions, I find this easier than doing it with decimals.
If a calculator was taken from you, which do you prefer to work with: fractions or decimals? Why?
I would prefer to do fractions, I feel that normally when I have a calculator in front of me I don't end up using it, so I have gotten used to doing the calculations in my head.
Name one goal heading into this unit. Make it specific and measurable (meaning that you can easily be able to tell if you have accomplished the goal at the end of the unit).
I feel that one of my strengths is fractions, and decimals I am good at, but the conversion of DECIMALS to FRACTIONS, I sometimes struggle with, but I am good at Fractions to Decimals.
I do feel comfortable adding, dividing and multiplying without a calculator. My strengths are that I'm able to add, divide, multiply and subtract only if I'm allowed to use paper to calculate them.
ReplyDeleteI do feel comfortable adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions, My strengths are that if the LCM (Lowest Common Multiple) is small but if it's big then I can't do it in my head and I need to do it on paper.
My goal is that I should be able to know how to divide decimals with decimals or a whole number by decimals (e.g 48 divided by 0.08) so I can do anything with decimals.
I would prefer to do fractions because when I do it with fractions, I can calculate easily but with decimals I need a calculator so I can check my answers but with decimals I need a calculator to check my answer whether it's adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing.
1.Yes, I feel comfortable adding, subtracting, multiplying decimals. I am not as comfortable dividing decimals though because I sometimes misplace the decimal point or I am not sure where to place it.
ReplyDelete2. I am comfortable with all of the above when it comes to fractions for I have shortcuts on how to do problems involving them.
3. I would prefer to work with fractions because I find them easier to work with than decimals because I can multiply, divide, add and subtract.
4.I would like to practise becoming better at dividing decimals because I am not as comfortable with that.
